The Stapler EP, out NOW! on Control Breaks
Written by Squatter on June 29, 2009 – 1:03 pm -
Here’s the press release:
“Lord of the twisted beats, Squatter, returns to Control Breaks with the long awaited Stapler EP. It contains two original tracks from his dark and malevolent mind, first up is the mercurial magic of ‘Roll It Up’. A true gem this track utilises the vocal talents of MC Regimental to give it that extra special punch.
‘Roll it Up’ arrives accompanied with a remix from Control Breaks top man, Section. He turns the track in a more 4/4 direction with some oh so very contemporary, heavy bass added.
Finally we reach the second piece of Squatter mayhem – ‘Married to a Stapler’ is a moving and deeply emotional tale of one man’s struggle to find happiness in a world that thinks him a perverted freak. Thankfully this sad tale is told not through poetry or lengthy monologues but jackin’ beats, thumping basslines and menacing synths.
All in all a truly startling package from a soon to be superstar producer!
Be sure to check out www.controlbreaks.com or www.myspace.com/controlbreaks for more details and a little sample from each of the classic tunes.”

The Sun - by Squatter
Written by Squatter on March 3, 2009 – 6:14 pm -When the sun is long set,
And your eyes accustom to the enveloping dark,
The night looms on eternal;
Even the weakest of candles cast their light.
You grow cold inside.
Numbness sets in, and you resonate with the strange noises of the night.
.
Forever later,
After you’ve given up hope that it ever could,
The dawn finally breaks,
And the sun fires the sky.
The first rays tingle your skin, your heart thumps, and warmth soaks through to your soul.
The sun lights up everything around you.
You bask while you can,
But the sun cannot be tamed,
And will continue its journey through the heavens,
Leaving you once more to the darkness.
The only way to stop it is to pursue,
And join it on its path.
Man cannot exist without the radiance of the sun.
