About
Squat·ter
n. (-te~r):
A small furry creature with a love of making dirty breaks, spinning fire and leaping about
Playing with loops and simple sequencers was an absorbing hobby that squatter would return to over and again, but it wasn’t until a sunny day sat at the Big Chill festival that he had a bit of a revelation about what he should be doing with his life.
Within a few weeks he’d quit the day job, moved house, and was sitting in lectures learning how to produce properly. It was time for a montage…
That was at the end of 2005; now, still finding his feet and his sound, squatter has built up a collection of dark, squiggly, driving tracks and is starting to gain attention… some of it’s good

“Breaks hero Squatter first grabbed our attention last year with “They’re In My Bowels”. This incredibly well-executed remix is deep and dark with a warm, evil bassline but a chunky beat to get your head nodding like a Churchill dog.”
IDJ Magazine on: Strider - ‘We Have Fun’ (Squatter Remix)
“Squatter maintains the breaks but increases the sick factor”
IDJ Magazine on: Squatter - ‘They’re in My Bowels’
“Top prize goes out to Squatter for the oddest track title of the month - and the silliness doesn’t stop at the title as this bass heavy romp mutates its way into your mind, dancing feet and, er, bowels. With its epic melodramatic breakdown, crucial bassline and urgent re-rub from Strider, this is by far one of Control Breaks strongest release to date. Outstanding. 4/5.”
Tom Real on: Squatter - ‘They’re in My Bowels’
Cool tune.. I like the original version best, love the quirky experimental edge to it.”
Geo of Iced Doughnut Collision Matrix gets his own section:

on: diarrhoea victim - ‘me ow’ (squatter ARC remix)
“sick! .. Sounds like an astro-soldier donning a space suit and taking out approx. 4,502,000 ugly lookin alien things, whilst occasionally recalling her childhood on planet Nimiro.”
